The Freeman Cruiser propeller shaft split pin that helps prevent the Freeman propeller shaft castle nut from loosening. It is usually found at the end of the propeller shaft holding the propeller shaft castle nut in place.
It is worth checking that the split pin is in place or renewing if worn or damaged as it protects more expensive items such as the propeller.
