With potential coverage between 4m² to 12m², depending on wood surface condition, this boat teak oil can be applied using a brush, roller, spray, dipping or rag wiping for optimum wood protection.
How to apply Hempel Teak Oil
As with all cleaning products it is usually best practise to follow the instructions on the product label and test in an inconspicuous area.
Firstly, ensure all surfaces are clean, oil free and dray, a suitable teak cleaner and degreaser should help. Secondly, apply one saturation coat directly onto new wood or wood which has previously been treated with oils or wood preservations. Allow the teak oil to soak into the wood then remove surplus product.
