The Water Temperature Sender 300 to 23 Ohms is an engine water temperature sender with a 1/8" - 27NPT thread, the sender works at 300 ohms of resistance at 40°C and 23 ohms at 120°C and is compatible with our Water Temperature Gauge with Stainless Steel Bezel.
This water temperature sender with its 1/8" - 27NPT thread will fit a WaterMota engine if your temperature sender is fitted into the head of the engine in the small hole as Ford would have used on a car. However, WaterMota did not normally fit the sender here and it is usually blanked off.
This temperature sender can be fitted to a WaterMota engine in the usual positions by using the WaterMota Small Temperature Sender Adapter, this will allow you to mount it either into the WaterMota Thermostat Housing if you do not have a thermostat or into the WaterMota Water Temperature Sender Core Plug at the back of the engine in the block for a more accurate reading.
This water temperature sensor reads 300 ohms of resistance at 40°C and 23 ohms at 120°C. There are many different resistances used for temperature senders so it is important to match the gauge with the correct sender. The resistance used for this sender is based on the European standard, however, there are multiple interpretations of the European standard, therefore we recommend purchasing the specific water temperature gauge for this sender.
